Isaac and Meike will now be offering zoom meetings more frequently to have a sense of community. Recognising that the current situation has financial consequences for some, and wanting everyone to have access, the contribution is on a sliding scale basis between €0,- and €25,- depending on financial means.

We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before to check with our event host that all is functioning well.

After the check, you’re welcome to hang out, or to turn off video & sound until start time.

Muting:  All participants are muted when the Host begins the orientation. You & participants can un-mute when ready to speak, by clicking on the microphone on the lower left hand of the screen and
Re-mute by clicking on the microphone again.

For any participants joining by phone, they will Un-mute themselves by pressing *6 and Re-mute by pressing *6 again, after they're done speaking.

Beginning: Host will begin with orientation a few minutes after the posted start time (to give people time to join the call).

After orientation, the Host introduces and welcomes you

SUGGESTED FORMAT: You can start with a short meditation. Then a talk, followed by Q&A. Our community’s preference is for an engaged & interactive format, rather than mostly a talk.

In closing, you can announce other events, books, website, etc.  Then pass over to the Host, who will make Open Circle announcements.  Finally, the host invites people to say farewell, before ending the gathering.

Financials

We offer these events with suggested donation of $15 to $25, which is paid when people register through the Open Circle website. Open Circle pays the event leader 70% of the balance of donations, after some costs are deducted (4.5% payment processing costs and $100 for part of hosting, coordination, promotions & administrative costs). However, if income is low, we would adjust to deduct less.

Recording

We generally record the events and are happy to provide a copy to you.

Unless we hear otherwise from you, we may release the recording to the public, for free or for a nominal fee.

If you have any concerns or would like to pre-review the recording, we’re happy to adjust our practice accordingly.
